Cristina Piluso’s concern for environmental issues began early with an interest in conservation of natural resources. She is currently working with Professor Yinlun Huang on the development of an evaluative, analytical and decision-making model to improve the region’s manufacturing sustainability policies. She has won many environmental awards, including the national 2006-2007 Air & Waste Management Association Scholarship and the 2004 and 2005 East Michigan Air & Waste Management Scholarships. Additionally, Cristina is an active member of the Wayne State University Task Force on Environmental Initiatives’ Sustainability Subcommittee and has been recommended to be the American Institute of Chemical Engineers Sustainable Engineering Forum newsletter editor. Cristina received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Wayne State University in 2003 and 2005 respectively.
